After many years of being a competitive gymnast, it only took one yoga class to be completely hooked on the benefits of yoga. At that time, and for most of my 16 years of practice, it was strictly an Asana/workout based practice. It wasn’t until 2016 when I was drawn to the beautiful land of New Zealand where my yoga journey really began with a 200hr YTT. After 19 days of being fully immersed in the jungle, eating and breathing the yoga experience I realized that was what made my soul feel alive. Connecting breath with movement, mind with body and the overall wellness experience is the message I strive to convey.
During my travels, I was given the opportunity to teach while living in Queenstown, NZ. But it wasn’t until I came back home to Colorado that I was able to create a full-time class of my own which has started to shape the type of teacher I look up to and strive to be one day. Every time I step onto my mat it’s a different experience which is what I truly love about this practice and sharing this with those that trust me to guide them through the yoga journey is truly an honor. I believe we will always learn and grow from each other and that’s where Namaste really resonates for me. I look forward to rolling out our mats together and getting down dog. Cheers!
