MJ Jones

MJ’s yoga journey began in 2013, while studying at Utah State and Colorado State University. Over the next decade, her practice became a place to return to again and again — but it wasn’t until getting sober in 2022 that she truly began to dive deeper into the practice. Yoga became a way of life, instead of just a workout or a hobby. A way to reconnect with her mind, body, and spirit, and a powerful tool for nervous system regulation and neural rewiring.

Through her own healing journey, MJ felt called to share these practices with others. She is now a 500 RYT, and holds a 500-hour RYT certification and 200-hour RYT certification, with training completed at Nepal Yoga Home in Kathmandu, Nepal and Samadhi Yoga Sangha in Denver, CO . Her studies have taken her into the depths of Yogic Philosophy, Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Pranayama, Sanskrit and mantra, Bhakti, and the energetics of the subtle body. She has studied Yoga Nidra extensively under Jeremy Wolf and loves guiding students into stillness and restoration through Yoga Nidra, Yin, Reiki-infused Restorative classes, and gentle Hatha.

MJ teaches with the intention of helping students slow down, soften, integrate and come home to themselves. Her classes are trauma-informed, energetically attuned, and offer a grounded space to reset in a fast-paced world. She loves hosting workshops that weave together yogic wisdom, ritual, and deep rest, and dreams of one day bringing these offerings to festivals and healing spaces around the world.

Off the mat, MJ is a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner, Tarot card reader, and retired veterinary technician who still loves pet sitting. She lives off-grid in a solar-powered camper in Conifer, CO with her big orange cat, Thiccaroni and Cheese, and an abundance of plants. When she’s not teaching, you can find her working shows at Red Rocks, traveling, snowboarding, paddleboarding, painting, adventuring through nature, dancing at shows and festivals, or curled up reading in her camper.
