Nancy is a Colorado Native who grew up in Southern Colorado and is a CSU grad. She considers herself a “recovering corporate ladder climber”, after 13 years in the retail management industry had left her stressed out, tired out, medicated, addicted, and depressed. A personal tragedy caused her to reassess her life and how she was living, and on the search for something more. Yoga and meditation seemed a good place to start, and she found herself immersed in a whole new world of possibility.
Since her initial training with CorePower Yoga in Chicago, Nancy has gone on to complete many additional training programs in the US and abroad: Sivananda Yoga, Iyengar Style Yoga, Real Evolution Yoga, Ayurveda Yoga, Yoga Barre, Vipassana Meditation,Trauma Informed Healing, Thai Massage, Restorative Breathwork, Reiki, Ecstatic Dance, Life Coaching Certification, and Assisted Stretch Certificate have all lead to Nancy’s unique blend of human development and teaching style. She also had the opportunity to run a yoga retreat center in Costa Rica for two years where she got to teach students from all over the world.
As a result of her experiences, Nancy has a special interest in helping those who are dissatisfied with the current state of their lives find a new way forward. She believes that we are a culmination of the choices we make and the habits we form- we often become unconscious of those choices. Her teaching style shows us how to utilize yoga in a very clear, direct, and powerful way to start practicing the people we want to be on and off the mat. Her fun and easy to follow approach makes classes enjoyable but very powerful! “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”.- Carl Jung
