Jeanie began her yoga journey in college while looking for a way to calm her mind from the stresses and perfectionism of her Type A personality. She instantly fell in love and has been a practitioner ever since.
In 2012, Jeanie dove deeper into her yoga practice, experimenting with other styles and traditions of yoga. Enjoying the creativity of Vinyasa, she eventually received her 200-hour teaching certification from
Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX. Jeanie has furthered her Vinyasa education and training by studying under her teacher Jason Crandell.
In addition to Vinyasa, Jeanie is a student and teacher of Yin Yoga. Studying with multiple teachers under Bernie Clark, Jeanie hopes to pass on her passion for Yin to her students as well.
Jeanie combines yoga philosophy, western anatomy, and psychology into her classes. With an eye on alignment, she emphasizes function and different techniques. Jeanie’s classes are strong and grounding while offering up a light-hearted environment where her students can learn more about themselves.
She firmly believes the physical practice of yoga is for everyone and that the poses are for us to understand our body.
