Stella Thompson

Stella is an interdisciplinary wellness practitioner with over a decade of international experience teaching yoga, meditation, and more recently somatic movement. She is fascinated by the mind-body interconnection and has a PhD in neuroscience. While on track to working at a startup in the Bay area, she suffered an immobilizing back injury. Allopathic medicine determined that only surgery could fix the injuries. True to her intuition she decided to heal the injury on her own. This decision led her to pursue herbal medicine and devote her life to holistic health practices. Yoga has been a steady partner in her life and she has previously taught kids yoga, acro yoga, ashtanga yoga, and Sivananda yoga. Since her back injury her yoga teachings emphasize core strength and pelvic floor integrity as well as mind-body awareness.
